Mile 1864 – Madison Spring Hut To Mile 1872 – Pinkham Notch
Because we were still above treeline when we stopped yesterday we had over 2700 feet still to go down to get to our planned stopping point today. We feasted on breakfast leftovers at the hut and took our time leaving because is was a very cold morning. The descent was very challenging, but we were not in a hurry and enjoyed the beautiful morning on the trail.

Our destination was the visitor center where we got a room at the lodge for the night and dinner. It was a much needed break between the Presidentials and the Wildcats starting tomorrow.
Enjoy your luxury time in the lodge! A very well deserved break!
