Day 44. Rattle River

Mile 1885 – Imp Shelter To Mile 1892 – Rattle River Hostel

This afternoon we walked into Rattle River Hostel which is right on the trail. We need to do laundry and resupply, plus rain is in the forecast, so this is good timing to be off the trail for a night.

I’ve been reluctant to use hiker hostles, but after talking with some other hikers who have stayed here, we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did – it has been a great experience. The atmosphere is really friendly and we know most of the hikers staying here. With the storms coming, it seems like just about everyone we have been hiking around decided to stay, so it is a bit like a reunion.

Rocket loves it here, mainly because they have a huge supply of games and there are lots of folks who want to join in.

This evening we took the shuttle to Walmart for our supplies and picked up dinner which we brought back to eat with everyone else in the dining room. We filled up on fried chicken and salad while catching up with everyone we haven’t seen in a while. It was a long, but fun day.
