Mile 2096 – Cloud Pond To Mile 2112 – Carl Newhall Shelter
A cold morning made it challenging to want to venture out of the tent, but we still got a fairly early start. The day began with several peaks of Chairback mountain, followed by a long, gradual ascent to our camping spot about halfway up White Cap. Again, we used all available daylight and arrived at our destination just as the sun was setting. As the days are getting shorter we are getting used to cooking and eating dinner in the dark and falling asleep early.
