Mile 1234 – Gravel Springs Hut To Mile 1248 – Luray
Although we’re anxious to get to Waynesboro, we need to resupply so we headed into Luray this afternoon to stay at Open Arms Hostel. After dinner, a trip to the grocery store, and laundry, we spent the evening reading and watching a movie. There are no other hikers here today so we have the place to ourselves.
Spending the evening reading
We timed this stop to coincide with potentially bad weather in the forecast. However, it now looks like the weather is turning out to be even worse than we expected. This evening, a winter storm warning was issued for overnight tonight and tomorrow. So, we decided to extend our stay here by a day to wait out the storm.
