Mile 1823 – Greasy Creek To Mile 1839 – Indian Grave Gap
Daytime temperatures are rising and the snow at lower elevations is finally melting. The trail is soggy, but it feels so good to walk on normal trail again.
Now that we are moving beyond Roan we are starting to feel that the Smokies are getting really close. After a really enjoyable hike we made our way to town and stopped in Walmart to get the food that we’ll need for the Smokies and sent it ahead to Standing Bear Farm which will be our last stop before entering the park. It is hard imagine that we’ll be there in just a few days!
