Mile 326 – Stealth To Mile 332 – Pine
We got up at our usual early time to hurry into town for breakfast. We arrived around 8 in the morning, and headed straight for the nearest restaurant. The Early Bird Cafe has amazing pancakes, if you ever find yourself in the middle of nowhere Arizona. We finished breakfast and decided on a lunch spot, then headed to the library to kill time.

Along the way, we passed a post office and my dad picked up the mail-in ballot he had requested to be sent general delivery to Pine, and voted while I read at the library. I checked out the Guinness book of world records for this year, and found “fastest time to escape from a straightjacket while hanging upside down from a hot air balloon” so I closed the book and found a better one.

For lunch we had pizza at a local restaurant, then started thinking about dinner. The small general store had enough for our resupply, and some frozen tamales for dinner. We stayed with a lovely trail Angel, showering and doing laundry before collapsing into bed.

Rocket, another great post. Just to let you know, I am in the Guinness Book of Records!
Yes ma’am! For eating tortillas. 74 corn tortillas in 30 minutes, 1973. It’s no longer posted in the book because they stopped recording gluteus’s feats. You could Google it I’m sure. I remain amazed at you and Brian’s adventure! I live a little vicariously through you both. Hike on. Janna sends her regards! Tom

That’s seriously impressive! I’ll have to check it out while we’re here in town.

Why does this not surprise me Tom? 🙂

“Fastest time to escape from a straightjacket while hanging upside down from a hot air balloon”. Am I the only one who’s concerned here?

You bring the straightjacket, I’ll bring the balloon. That “Super Ning” dude has got nothing on us.
