Day 6 – Muir Pass

Mile 71.3 to Mile 91.4

Today was just a beautiful, fun day of hiking. Here’s a sample of what we saw along the way…

Looks like another clear day on tap!

Ice cold water to help tired feet

Alien high elevation landscape

We had heard that there was no snow left on the trail, but, today we found this small section. Somehow seeing this sort-of high angle slope here helped put into perspective how different this trail would be early in the season when this whole area would still be covered.

First bit of snow we’ve encountered on the trail

Heading down from the pass

Walking into the next valley. So different from where we were just a couple of hours ago.
