Day 25. Slow Day

Mile 1682 – Minerva Hinchey Shelter To Mile 1691 – Governor Clement Shelter

We had a pretty nice walk today as we tried to stay on schedule for our resupply in Rutland tomorrow. It was raining in the morning when we woke up so we waited around hoping it might clear up before we set out for the day. It did, and we were able to stay dry all morning. The timing was perfect as we dove into a shelter for lunch right before another downpour. With all of the waiting, we decided on a shorter day, knowing we’d need to make up for it tomorrow.

There was a small airport below the trail that we could occasionally see. This prompted some fun discussions about airplanes and general aviation as we walked.

Does this count as a bridge?

  1. I think we know who is guilty for inspiring Rocket’s love of planes 🙂 [Hint: Starts with a G and rhymes with Berry)
