Mile 1995 – Crocker To Mile 2008 – Horns Pond
Our original plan was to go into town this evening, but it turns out that some good friends are going to be there tomorrow. So, we extended this segment by one day to meet up with them.
We arrived at the main road into town around lunch time just as rain started so we found a dry spot to wait. Most of the hikers we have been around for the last few days caught a shuttle from there, but we stayed until the rain stopped and then we hiked on, starting our climb up into the Bigelows.
The climb took us into the clouds on a cold, windy night. We found a place to camp near the top, but out of the wind and quickly retreated into our tent after dinner, looking forward to a big day tomorrow.
