Day 58. Waiting for the Ferry

Mile 2026 – West Carry Pond To Mile 2036 – Pierce Pond

We have a river crossing coming up that requires a ferry which is only available for a few hours in the middle of the day. Instead of rushing to get there in time to cross today, we decided to slow down yesterday and today and cross tomorrow. With the lighter days we had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful Maine and rest up for the more strenuous hiking to come.
