Mile 2076 – Shaw’s Hostel To Mile 2079 – Leeman Brook
We used the morning today to rest at the hostel, resupply, and plan our entrance and exit from Baxter. We also walked to the ATC information center in town to pick up our thru hiker registration tags since this was our first opportunity to do that since starting in New York.
Back on the trail in late afternoon, we hiked just a few miles to the next shelter. As we walked, Rocket talked about how this portion of the trail always seemed far in the distance, so it is strange to actually be here. I feel the same way.
