Day 76. Flip Flop

Mile 741 – Appalachian Trail Train Stop To Mile 752 – Morgan Stewart Shelter

(Starting with this post we are using miles from the northern terminus to indicate our position. Previously we were using miles from the southern terminus.)

We returned to the place where we started – this time as southbounders. We easily resumed our familiar routine, but we both felt a little weird at first. The time warp to early Fall, walking the “wrong” direction, and the completely different terrain all combined to make the experience simultaneously familiar and foreign.

We had a great time with family over the last couple of days, but we are happy to be back out here. There are so many sections of the trail that we are looking forward to but for now we are just enjoying a cool, sunny day in the woods!
