Mile 1107 – Fayetteville To Mile 1121 – Deer Lick Shelter
The walk back to the trail passed by the diner when we ate dinner last night. We stopped in and ordered a big breakfast and had fun chatting with some folks there that we’d met yesterday. After eating breakfast we stayed a while longer and ordered lunch!
The trail was soggy due to rain, but we were happy to be moving again.
Fall here is just starting to end and I’m thinking about our transition to the southern part of the trail. We should be back in mountains again fairly shortly after passing Harper’s Ferry.
