Mile 1121 – Deer Lick Shelter To Mile 1140 – Pogo Memorial Shelter
We haven’t seen much of the sun lately, so the clear blue sky today was a very welcome change. Also welcome was the state line crossing into Maryland. We had fun learning about the history of the Mason Dixon line and discussing how sometimes in life even an arbitrary boundary can make all the difference.

Once in Maryland, the trail enters a beautiful park where there are benches lined up in a covered pavilion just for the purpose of watching the countryside below.
