Mile 77 – North Rim To Mile 91 – Bright Angel Campground
Today we walked about 13 miles down 5000 feet to the very bottom of the Grand Canyon. The only reasonable ways down are to walk or to ride a mule. Along the way, we stopped at ribbon falls, an amazing waterfall that is difficult to access since they removed the bridge.

After passing runners and hikers early in the morning that we’re aiming for a Rim to rim or a Rim to rim to rim, we passed only the occasional tourist or hiker.

At the bottom, we got some of the famous iced lemonade and set in to sleep at a campsite with three other thru hikers. The day ended with a ranger program and a windy rainstorm.

Ribbon falls … wow! And a windy rainstorm sounds lovely … or maybe more lovely to me 🙂
