Day 8. Tusayan

Mile 105 – Stealth To Mile 125 Stealth

We were tired and a bit sore after yesterday’s adventure, however we were motivated to get up this morning by a McDonald’s .6 miles from the trail in nearby Tusayan. We quickly packed up before sunrise and hiked into town. This was our first time in town since we started and it was only for about an hour. We did see a couple of other thruhikers, but it is not like the AT where a town this close to the trail would be basically overrun.

After eating we rushed back to the trail to start what will be five long days into the largest town on that AZT: Flagstaff.
